Palin Joins Fox News

Sarah Palin joining conservative friends at Fox News:

Palin Joins Fox NewsFox News announced today that Sarah Palin will indeed be joining Fox as a contributor. The former VP running mate has signed a deal promising multiple years with the network to offer her commentary on all things political. Said Palin, "I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News. It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news." This addition will undoubtedly add to the conservative viewership, bringing in Palin fans across the nation. The addition comes after speculation of Palin's future political career and the success of her book, Going Rogue. Neither Palin nor Fox News has released any other details of the agreement.

And the John Cusack reference? Well, John Cusack starred in 2012, which was about the end of the world, and if the signing of Palin isn't one of the signs of the Apocalypse . . . .

This could get interesting - political punditry and  politics seem to fit well lately - ala  Pat Buchanan and friends.

Is Sarah Palin the mother of infant Trig?

E-mail Print PDF

trig_bristol_motherIn early 2008, rumors started circulating that Sarah's daughter Bristol was pregnant.

Is Sarah Palin the mother of infant Trig, or ...is daughter Bristol actually Trig's mother, and was Sarah involved in a controversial cover-up?

The evidence is mixed, and without more information, there doesn't seem to be a simple way to get to the bottom of this.

You can dig a little deeper yourself if you would like.

What is Sarah Seeking?

When Sarah Palin made her debut on the national scene in 2008, the Republican ticket was said to be energized by this attractive, straight talking woman from Alaska. The Conservative media loved her, and cheered her on when she likened herself to a “pit bull with lipstick.”

However, those on the left worked in earnest to expose her as a completely unsuitable candidate for the highest ticket in the land- starting with her beauty pageant credentials, ignorance of domestic and foreign policy issues, hunting stance, and alleged support of book burning.

Newsflash

Palin belongs to the Wasilla Assembly of God, a Pentecostal church, where members speak in tongues and are part of a faith that believes humanity is in its ‘end times’ — the days preceding a world-ending cataclysm bringing Christian redemption and the second coming of Jesus…Mr. Kalnins is an enthusiastic supporter of “Governor Sarah,” as he calls her, and of President George W. Bush, who, he believes, was put in office by the hand of the divine. “I believe criticisms come from hell. God has placed this man in authority. … You criticize the authority, you’re literally bringing in hell with the criticism.

Speaking in tongues is a controversial practice to many Christians, but others consider it a gift from God.

And many people who attend the Freedom Valley Worship Center in Gettysburg, Pa., pray for that gift.

"For me, it is almost as if I am able to tap into God's heart and what he wants," said Amber Crone, a member of the church. "I don't really know what I am saying, but I know it is what God wants me to say and speak. It is more of an enlightenment -- you can feel him all around you, and you can feel him speaking through the words that you are saying."

Crone's friend, Kelly Chocincky, describes what she says is a feeling of connection to God. "I know some people that get a warm, fuzzy feeling going on inside them. For me, I get goose bumps, actually."

'It Heals You on the Inside'

For Senior Pastor Gerry Stoltzfoos, speaking in tongues is a deeply ingrained way of life. He says he has been speaking in tongues since he was a boy growing up in an Amish family, although the Amish frown on the practice.

"The Amish world didn't really address that at all," said Stoltzfoos.

"I didn't think it was wrong," Stoltzfoos said, "but I didn't think it would be exactly encouraged if I tried to explain it, and if I had used any of the vernacular that I was familiar with, like speaking in tongues, I would have been told there wasn't such thing. When I left the Amish Church, I started seeking a church that was really open to outside people coming in."

Stoltzfoos said he encouraged his congregation to speak in tongues. "It settles things in your spirit, and it heals you on the inside."

The origin of the practice is believed to be the miracle of Pentecost -- as told in the New Testament book of Acts -- when Jesus' apostles were said to be filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in languages foreign to themselves. And a gifted few are said to have done it in early Christian congregations. Saint Paul called it "speaking in the tongues of angels."

The practice is widely embraced by Pentecostals but looked at askance by many other Christian denominations. And to outsiders, it can seem downright freakish.
